Ibanda Girl Child Care Initiative is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization established to advocate for the protection of human rights, save and improve the lives of most vulnerable, poorest, and marginalized families affected by poverty and/or crisis, eradicate poverty, and empower women and girls to reach their full potential.

We will look at the health and hygiene to providing safe water, nutrition, shelter and clothing, giving first hand service of testing of non communicable diseases through our partners

About Us

Together we are helping people in need

We are located in Kasese district, Ibanda-Kyanya Town council, deep in Rwenzori region, Uganda. The organisation was formally registered in December, 2020 with the purpose of protecting human rights, saving and improving lives , building resilience and helping createa lasting solution to hunger, extreme poverty, illiteracy and inequalities, empowering women and children to reach their full potential.

Since it’s establishment, Ibanda Girl Child Care Initiative managed to partner with I4hnet, Stress Reduction And Counseling Center, Foundation for Community Development (FCDE). We have also become a strong network member of The Girl Generation and Women Thrive

To protect livelihoods in crises situations, enhance resilience to shocks and strengthen the capacities of communities by improving livelihoods and helping households that depend on degraded natural resources to shift to more sustainable livelihoods in the communities

To advocate, promote and protect human rights including women and children rights in the communities

To Increase access to free basic education to children belonging to poor and underprivileged communities, reduce gender disparity in education and empower poor agro pastoral households to invest in human capital through education and agriculture training in communities

To support and improve access to health services (Primary health care and Mother and Child Care, SRHR, HIV/AIDS) nutrition and nutrition related health status of children, women and other vulnerable people

To increase access to WASH services (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) in both urban and rural areas in Kasese
