Ibanda Girl Child Care Initiative is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization established to advocate for the protection of human rights, save and improve the lives of most vulnerable, poorest, and marginalized families affected by poverty and/or crisis, eradicate poverty, and empower women and girls to reach their full potential.

We were established with the purpose of protecting human rights, saving and improving lives ,building resiliency and creating lasting solution to hunger, extreme poverty, illiteracy and inequalities empowering women and children to reach their full potential.

Education

We care about the education of girl child and her retention through providing schooling material, career guidance, pen friends and mentorship

Health Support

We will look at the health and hygiene to providing safe water, nutrition, shelter and clothing, giving first hand service of testing of non communicable diseases through our partners

WASH

The assistance provided is healthy food used for cooking and eating

About Us

Together we are helping people in need

We are located in Kasese district, Ibanda-Kyanya Town council, deep in Rwenzori region, Uganda. The organisation was formally registered in December, 2020 with the purpose of protecting human rights, saving and improving lives , building resilience and helping createa lasting solution to hunger, extreme poverty, illiteracy and inequalities, empowering women and children to reach their full potential.

Since it’s establishment, Ibanda Girl Child Care Initiative managed to partner with I4hnet, Stress Reduction And Counseling Center, Foundation for Community Development (FCDE). We have also become a strong network member of The Girl Generation and Women Thrive
